SNOW DAY!! When we least expected it!
I went sledding with Holly G and Marion. Christina cryed because her parents wouldn't let her come. We went to the hill in Berea where I went years ago with Paulette, Holly S, Stacey and Christie Winners.
Guess who showed up just as we were leaving? YKW! He might have seen me go down the hill. What are the odds of him showing up?
FEBRUARY 23rd, 1994
It's before school. I only have a few minutes. We had Ski Club last night. The usual with Kirt but on the bus Greg Manning, Kirt and I were all talking:
"Everyone likes her." (Kirt)
"Jason Brown, Craig..." (me)
"Me." (Kirt)
"YKW still does." (Greg)
"What?" (me)
"He did last year, too." (Greg)
"Then why didn't he ask me out?" (me)
"He says he doesn't ask girls out, they ask him." (Greg)
What an ego. But the shocker was on the slopes:
"Hey Jess!" (YKW)
"Huh?"
"Do you have your Black?"
"No."
"Then you shouldn't be on these hills!"
He talked to me! He called me Jess, not Wilderbeast! Although, that nickname came up at other times. On the bus he said,
"Wilderbeast, I love it." Kirt said YKW loved me. And once, I looked back and he was staring at me. Then he quickly looked away.
Oh yeah. The day went OK. Tues night when BOY called I subtly confronted him about his ex-girlfriend. Then the next day I gave him a note where I spilled everything about how he was never serious, blah blah. He wrote back saying he likes me and thinks we're great together.
The usual. GIRL thinks I'm mad at her cause she ruined our Little Prince skit. I really just hate her. At practice, we did "All the Livelong Day" again.
Kath says Sharon Manuel is going to tryout for some choir thing with "On My Own". If it's the Pop Concert, I'll scream!!
BOY said YKW was really distracted today. He didn't insult him, and he forgot his gym clothes and just sat silently on the side. I wonder...
FEBRUARY 23rd, 1995
In 7th period I saw Holly and Tony walking. I walked with them. I just asked him if he cut his hair, (he did) but said "No, I just slicked it back." I said, "Hey!" They laughed and I stalked off into the bathroom jokingly. Then Tony didn't show up to rehearsal. Someone probably told him I like him and he went home to throw up. One of these days, god will have pity on me and give me a boyfriend.
FEBRUARY 23rd, 1996
I talked to BOY at lunch. I told him I was sorry for ignoring him and he said sorry for losing his temper. He said he'd lost 6 lbs in the two days I ignored him. He thought it was over (again). I told him I didn't want it to be completely over. So now we're back where we started. But I still feel allowed to see other people. And I did.
At play practice I flirted with Norris and Ben and Paul. I agreed to be Paul's date for the movies that night. I told Norris I might go out to the McDonald's with him and Jim before the movie. But I cancelled it and went with Julie and Paul to the mall for food, then picked up Ben and went to the movie. Norris made me promise to save him a seat. But him and Jim were late and me, Paul, Teper, Don, Ben, Julie, Carlos, Mike and some other guy took up a whole row. So he was kinda mad. Paul and I held hands during the movie "Happy Gilmore" (with Adam Sandler); it was kinda weird. After that we (Ben, Julie, Paul and me) were gonna go down to Huntington Beach, but a cop started following us. I feel asleep on Paul's lap. So Ben just took us back to his house to pick up Julie's car and go home. There, I gave Paul a kiss on the cheek and sat in Julie's car. But Ben and Julie were hugging so Paul opened my door so we wouldn't have to watch. I hugged him cause he said he was cold - and what do you know? It was the Paul Sems experience all over again. Except this Paul is a better kisser. And I started it too! I don't even know if I like Paul like that. Who'd of thunk it?
FEBRUARY 23rd, 1997
Last night Holly Stone, Julie, Christy and I went to Scott's beer party. His parents were out of town everybody from Westlake was there. I hung out with Phil, Chris Rybicki and Chad Ritchie. Chad and me and Julie bonded and he says we're popular now. Scott was all over me to show his friends how cool I am and Chad was like "No! You're supposed to be a good girl!" Later - Chad asked me to go show him where the pop is and then lead me to a back hallway where we made out for about 10 minutes until we heard Katie calling for me. Then I drove him and Julie home. That was really weird.
But - at work Sat, Justin finally talked to me! I wrote him a note on Fri and said I'm sorry. Yea! I still like him. I hope we can at least become friends again.
