JULY 28th 1993

I got a letter from Erica. They moved to Maryland. She asked me if I still like Andy. Do I? This morning I dreamt that the dog had a new chain. When I woke up, the dog's chain was broken. I also dreamed of Adam Koelher. It made me think he is kind of cute. I'm reading the 1st edition of my journal. It starts where Laurie dies. I have a normal life. I wouldn't be writing these words if it weren't for Laurie.

At Carousel, we ran Act 1. Andy wasn't there. The carousel has 2 horses, and the rest seats. Theresa Deak and I claimed the horses (we're the smallest). Their little rocking horses. Very dumb. There's a song that goes "Julie? Julie? Do you like him?" On our way out I passed the girl who played her, I said "Julie? Julie? What's your real name?" She laughed and said Jodie.

Yesterday during the same scene, Dan gave us a zerbit. But he also asked how old I was. I wonder why. I feel guilty that I'm not writing everyday. There's exactly 1 week till Bye Bye Birdie. I got the soundtrack for Music Man. I want to be the lead, Marian the Librarian, very badly, but I don't think Mr Rizer has all that much faith in me. I haven't heard from Kurt all summer. I really miss school. What a summer.

JULY 28th 1996

I got grounded from July 17-24 so I didn't do much. I did manage to see Chris almost every day. I ran on the track and worked out also. On the 25 he got his license. On the 26, I went to Grand Pacific Junction with my mom, grandpa and aunt. It was dull, so I walked home. On the way, I passed Sharon. She picked me up and we visited Paul and Tony. Tony's going into the army on the 29 of Aug. So me and Sharon said we'll strip for him. He also agreed to send us pictures of him in his uniform in exchange for nude pictures of us. Of course, none of this is going to happen.

On the 27, me and Chris watched the news live in the studio of Channel 5. His dad works there. Then, we were going to the drive-in, but his parents were 2 hours late, so we sat outside in the cold and his parents didn't even care. Today I don't know how much my parents will let me do. I promised Katie I'd do something with her today. We are possibly getting a new car (I'm hoping for a Geo Tracker) but I can't drive until I get another job (in addition to Chuck E. Cheese's). I got an interview at Lone Star Steakhouse. They told me everything about the job and said they'd check my references and call me, but that was last Tues. Oh well.

Just a thought about EX-BOYFRIEND #3 (because that's all I've been thinking about). He's the kind of guy who goes for what he wants with no looking back. Which means, if he wanted me, he'd have gone for me already. Remember, you're moving.

COMEDY FLING is visiting in about 2 weeks. I hope it all goes smoothly, and I hope when he has to leave I can handle it.
