JANUARY 5th, 1993
In 1st period art, I heard the boys at Y.K.W.'s table say (I think) Jessica K. I saw Y.K.W. looking at me for a long time, then shielding his face from me.
I remember I asked Laurie Patrick to ask Luke Swan out for me. I remember waiting for her after school. I remember meeting her for the first time in PSR.
JANUARY 5th, 1994
Mike K. asked BOY if he was going out with me. He said yes.
While I was waiting for the bus, BOY didn't come over to talk. But 4th period he personally handed me his note.
Ski Club was OK. I stayed with Kourtini and got my dark blue. Y.K.W. kept his distance. He got these awesome new skis. Greg was guarding them when Y.K.W. went to get a snack, I went over.
"Are those his skis?"
"Yep!"
"They're awesome, he doesn't deserve them," I mocked spit at them.
At 9:00 we (Michelle Magnone, Christine Miller, Kourtini and I) boarded the bus. A few minutes later YKW and Greg came on. I was taking pictures left and right. I got YKW's as he was walking passed my seat.
"What was that for?"
"America's Funniest Home Videos."
Upheals of laughter from the girls, but YKW just scoffed and moved on. He sat/stood in his seat with his back against the window, just staring into oblivion. Greg was behind him. I looked over.
"Jessica likes YKW!" Greg teased.
In unison, YKW and I gave him disgusted, annoyed stares that read "what?!"
On the way home I sat with Christine. We're becoming kind of friends. She's a pretty good skier for a beginner. Lindsay Phillips sat in the seat before YKW's. Katie Krakowiak sat with her. They talked to YKW and Greg all the way home. I was so jealous.
I think I still like YKW.
JANUARY 5th, 1996
BOY came in to Mrs. Bock's room before school while I was getting extra help to ask what work he missed. He smiled at me. After that he only smiled at me after band and kicked my foot while I was at my locker after 6th period. When I turned (a few seconds too late) to see who it was, he was turning around and missed me seeing him. He probably thinks I ignored him.
BOY flirted with me a little. That's cool. I guess. And BOY flirted with me a little in Golden Expressions. He kicked me, unzipped my bag and gave me pretty much his whole pop. I shoved him (gently) and he fell back on the risers. (I knew he would. That's the cool thing about risers. He wasn't hurt, though.)
I saw Drew a few times. He seemed kinda depressed. I know the feeling. I feel that I don't belong anywhere. The Homeys want Julie and Sharon, not me. I doubt the Homestead Drive gang wants me back. I don't fit in anywhere. Drew said (on the phone yesterday) that Dan Burke's coming over tonight. Maybe they'll call me. Other than that, I'm alone at home for the night.
JANUARY 5th, 2002
Not much new. I'm starting to make good money at Red Lobster. I still haven't gotten paid for my commercial, but my agent has kept in touch. Xmas with fam was fun. We had Xmas Eve + Xmas at our house. BOYFRIEND 3 and I are great. His birthday and our 5-month anniversary are coming up. He's been on break for three weeks, so we've both been just working, playing Nintendo and sleeping! No word from Cedar Point for either of us. I'm worried. No matter how I rationalize it, I'll be disappointed if I don't make it. I'm planning on working there too much.
JANUARY 5th, 2003
Yea!! I got cast in a Cedar Point-style cabaret show at an amazing club in downtown Cleveland called Pickwick and Frolic. Finally, I get to sing cool songs into a handheld mic, like Christina! I quit Red Lobster because Pickwick PAYS! I am officially a professional singer! And the two gay directors really like me (for some odd reason)!
Also, I've been emailing with a guy from a local TV show called "Last Call Cleveland" and he saw my webpage and said they'd be interested in working w/me. So I'm going to their show at Second City on the 13th. Too bad boys suck or I might be interested in him.
JANUARY 5TH, 2007
Money's really tight now. I seem to go in spurts of steady income, then no income. I'm frustrated because Lillie's buying a theatre, and has asked Sarah to manage and B.Unit to bartend. She hasn't asked me to do anything and that hurts doubly when I'm so poor. I really hope I can be involved. I need steady income so badly!
My agents haven't called in a long time, despite the Christmas break.
BOYFRIEND 4 is the same. I officially ended it over Christmas, but then kissed him a few days later. So not much has changed. Except that he's very aware of my crush on BOY and my intentions of pursuing it. I still secretly love BOYFRIEND 4, and always will, but I'm not waiting around. It's his move. Besides, nothing can even happen for years, so I want to see if maybe I could like someone else.
